The view of the Art & Science Museum from afar doesn’t
look like your typical building. I think it looks like a blooming flower from
afar. It’s beautiful!

Inside the museum, I visited the Harry Potter exhibit and
the Andy Warhol exhibit. Each exhibit was terrific and laid out nicely.
The Harry Potter exhibit was very magical. I have always
been a fan of the films. When my mom and I first entered the exhibit, we were
given Gryffindor House scarves and a wand. We were rushed to pose for a picture
in front of a green screen. Next, we waited in a group to be greeted by a
punctual Hogwarts student. The whole group was briefed on the rules, which
included an escort out of the exhibit if we took pictures. Then, a few special
folks in the group were selected to come to the small stage where The Hat tells
them the House they belong to. It was a cool introduction. It made me feel like
I was in the actual movie scene. Then as we walked through the exhibit we got
to view many of the costumes and props that were used in the Harry Potter
films. We also walked through some iconic settings from the movies as well. I loved
Hagrid’s hut! Everything was super oversized, which is just perfect for Hagrid.
We got to shoot Quaffles into the Quidditch goal posts. Don’t worry! There were
no Bludgers flying around. I’m sure the exhibiters made sure of that. Next to
the goal posts were the Quidditch costumes worn in the by stars themselves.
The Andy Warhol exhibit was also great. I had heard of Any
Warhol before, but never really knew much about him and his work. It was very
enjoyable to admire his art, learn about Warhol and learn about his career
life. I particularly liked the Campbell’s Soup Cans, Silver Factory and Balloon
Room. I didn’t quite understand the Silver Factory, but it was a fascinating
and interesting sight. The Balloon Room was pretty entertaining. There were a
bunch of silver puffy balloons that you can throw in the air and play with.
There was a photo booth as well in the room, but I was too impatient to wait in
line. It must have been a very slow photo booth machine because I was waiting
for a good 20 minutes before I decided to move on.
I felt like each part of this exhibit was a step into a
little part of Warhol’s imagination! It was quite fascinating and breathtaking.
I really enjoyed the exhibit and I especially loved all the colors!
It was a bummer that I couldn’t take pictures inside the exhibits,
but no one prohibited us from taking them outside the exhibit. Yay! It was
still an overall great day at the Art & Science Museum.
